Vegetable Pie with Tuna

Ingredients

One medium onion

Quarter green pepper

Three small boiled potatoes

Two hard-boiled eggs

Tin of tuna

20cl pack Bechamel(white) sauce

4oz Cheddar cheese

Peas and sweetcorn

Mushroom

Your choice of veg!

Mixed Herbs

Salt and pepper

Worcester Sauce

Method

Hard boil the eggs and boil the potatoes, cool and chop.

Slice all the vegetables and grate the cheese.

Mix the Tuna, Bechamel, cheese, herbs and spices, Worcester sauce and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Roll out the pastry, if not pre-packed, and line a slightly smaller dish before pricking the base and laying in the sliced vegetables and eggs. Pour the Tuna mix over the veg and turn the spare pastry onto the top. Brush this with beaten egg or milk and place in a hot oven at 220C and then reduce the heat to 180C.

Cook for thirty to forty minutes until golden and bubbling.

Allow to cool and eat hot or cold.
